PERSONAL PROJECT FURTHER DEVELOPED IN 3RD SEMESTER STUDIO | 2022

The Diagrid Chair empowers the user to invent and realize their own lightweight chair designs that suit their particular tastes as well as their immediate needs. It is based on a system of lightweight cardboard panels that slot into each other to create uniform triangular or quadrilateral modules. The triangular and quadrilateral modules slot into each other to create a variety of configurations, from a simple stool to a lounge chair with an integrated bookcase. The modules’ symmetry makes it easy for the user to reconfigure the chair’s design. And if one wishes to transport the chair or store it away, the modules can be disassembled into the flat panels to take up less space.
